This is a CNC-machined Pinion Gear by SHS. It's stronger than the standard MIM machined SHS Pinion Gears. SHS pinions have a good reputation as they mesh well with many different brand bevel gears. Black oxide coated for durability.

This O-type pinion gear can be pressed onto O-type and D-type shafts. Before installing this pinion, make sure to clean the motor shaft and inside of the pinion gear. Loctite 638 or JB Weld is recommended ensure that the pinion is secure.

Interestingly, this new batch has grub screws like D-type pinions do.
