These gears are well-designed, well-built, and offer some advantages over traditional spur (straight-cut) gears.

The angled teeth engage more gradually, causing them to run more smoothly and quietly. Because of this, these gears may provide a more desirable gear meshing noise when properly shimmed.

The bevel gear also has standard straight-cut teeth, which makes the bevel compatible with a wide range of ACM step gears.

Additionally, due to their design, these gears may yield an increase in load capacity. Axial load is also increased.

The use of high-quality steel and heat treatment makes these gears durable as well.

We recommend Loctite 648 (if available), 638, or JB weld for bonding the pinion gear.
