product details

These Lonex Cylinder Heads are precisely machined and have several features which make them stand out from other Cylinder Heads. The inner inner air path is curved, ensuring the best possible airflow. The enlarged peg holes improve compatibility.

Because the Piston assembly is constantly slamming against the Cylinder Head during a gearbox cycle, the Cylinder Head endures a lot of stress. Plastic Cylinder Heads tend to crack and fail over time as a result of these stressors. Unlike stock plastic Cylinder Heads, this unit is built from high-grade aluminum and can withstand the strongest of springs.

Due to the dual O-ring design, this Cylinder Head makes an excellent seal. Many Airsofters use Teflon tape to aid in Gearbox compression, but I have not found any need for modification when using these Lonex Cylinder Heads. Having good compression in your gun improves efficiency and accuracy.

Too much wiggle room, bad feeding

Due to the design of this head, the oval holes can lead to feeding issue on certain builds. The cylinder head will be able to move around in the gearbox and isn’t locked in place because of the oval holes, when the head is seated in a more forward position because of the oval holes, it prevents the tappet plate from being able to reach its full range of motion, causing the nozzle to not fully retract. In the 2 brushless builds I have used these on, this has been the case, and prevents bbs from feeding into the hop up chamber, as soon as I swapped to a modify head this was fixed instantly and fed with no issues
Please consider before buying this head or similar designed heads
Brill is an awesome site and this review does not reflect them in any way

Excellent. The seal is good, and it takes a bit of pounding to get it into a cylinder. The cylinder can't rotate anymore once it's on, and the padding on the end makes it very nice on the gearbox.

I got one of these about four years ago from BrillArmory when these didn't have the rubber part as seen on the current picture. It is still alive after 40K+ rounds in both a 25 rps 330 fps ssg vfc 416 and a 20ish rps 390 fps ssg M249. I can easily see this going another 100k+ rounds!

A cylinder head is a cylinder head, but this one is the best. In terms of comparability,it fit my VFC gearbox fine so it should be good with other gearbox shells.Air seal is perfect with any modifications,so no complaints.
