Mancraft CNC Gearbox V2 QSC – 8mm
Build a replica that can handle strong springs, high rate of fire and long bursts without breaking a sweat. The Mancraft CNC Gearbox V2 QSC – 8mm is a reinforced V2 shell made entirely from 7075 T6 aluminium on CNC machines, featuring a quick spring change system and sockets for 8 mm bearings. You get an extremely rigid, precise foundation for advanced AEG and HPA builds – Airsoft use only, this is not a firearm part.
Key features:
- 7075 T6 aircraft-grade aluminium, CNC machined – shell milled from a single block of material, offering very high tensile strength (approx. 570 MPa).
- QSC (Quick Spring Change) system – ball-bearing spring guide with quick access, allowing you to change the spring without fully disassembling the replica. Made from stainless steel.
- Sockets for 8 mm bearings / bushings – stable gear operation in powerful and high-rate-of-fire setups.
- Reinforced front of the shell – reduced risk of cracking in the most stressed area.
- Service and inspection windows – access to the anti-reversal latch and gears, making servicing and diagnostics easier after the gearbox has been assembled.
- Steel thread inserts for the pistol grip screws – significantly increased resistance to thread wear and stripping during frequent servicing.
- Possibility of alignment in the receiver – threaded holes for adjustment screws in the front part of the shell allow you to precisely align the gearbox in the body.
- Colour options – Red / Black / Golden / Blue / Purple – perfect for custom builds and matching other Mancraft CNC parts.
- Designed and manufactured 100% in Poland / EU – a shell created specifically for Airsoft, with heavily tuned replicas in mind.
- Covered by the Mancraft Lifetime Warranty programme.
Box contents

- 1× set of mounting screws and pins
Compatibility and notes
- Platform: most AEG replicas based on a standard V2 gearbox (including M4/M16/AR15 and their clones).
- Use: AEG and HPA conversions using a V2 shell as a base (compatibility of the motor / controller / HPA engine must be verified individually).
- Not intended for: replicas using V2 Long / V2.5 (SR25 etc.) or GBBR platforms.
- Requires advanced installation: we recommend assembly by an experienced AEG/HPA technician.
- Do not use shortened cylinder heads with a rubber bumper at the front. They can damage the gearbox shell and are not covered by the warranty. The reason is simple: the cylinder head has no proper surface to rest on, and every shot is transferred through the pins centering the cylinder head.
- We recommend purchasing pistol grip shims – they let you adjust the grip’s distance from the shell, making it easier to set the motor correctly and achieve a clean, smooth sound of the drive train.
Specifications:
- Type: V2 gearbox shell
- System: QSC – Quick Spring Change
- Material: 7075 T6 aluminium, CNC machined, anodised finish
- Bearing size: 8 mm
- Weight: only 165 g (including the full screw set and spring guide)!
- Colours: anodised Black, Red, Gold, Blue and Purple
- Intended use: Airsoft only (AEG/HPA replica part, not a firearm component)
Installation (general / simplified guide – advanced service recommended)
- Make sure the replica is unloaded and disconnected from any power source (battery / HPA air supply).
- Disassemble the replica, remove the complete old V2 gearbox from the receiver and take out all internal components (gears, cylinder, piston, trigger, electrics).
- Transfer all internal parts into the Mancraft CNC shell, choosing appropriate 8 mm bearings/bushings and shimming the gears correctly.
- Install the QSC spring guide and the rest of the components, then check the mechanism “dry” (without the main spring), using the inspection windows.
- Fit the gearbox into the receiver, adjust its position with alignment screws (if used) and grip shims so that the motor runs quietly and without excessive resistance.
- After fully assembling the replica, perform a series of tests in a safe area, checking sound, feeding and FPS stability.
- Tip: if the sound of operation is unnaturally sharp or “rough”, go back to the gear shimming and motor height adjustment – the Mancraft shell very precisely transmits any assembly errors.
Why choose the Mancraft CNC Gearbox V2?
- Designed for strong springs – 7075 T6 alloy and the reinforced front section of the shell are built with demanding tuning setups in mind.
- Tuner-friendly servicing – inspection windows, QSC and the ability to align the shell in the body make working on AEG and HPA builds much easier.
- CNC precision – consistent dimensions, better fit with the receiver and lower risk of stress points that kill stock shells.
- Looks and personalisation – multiple colours let you create a visually cohesive showcase build, not just a “hidden” upgrade.
- Polish engineering – developed by a company specialising in Airsoft AEG/HPA systems, with extensive experience in real-world replica tuning.
- Covered by the Mancraft Lifetime Warranty programme.
FAQ
Will this gearbox fit my M4/M16 AEG?
It is a standard V2 shell, compatible with most M4/M16/AR15 replicas based on V2. Due to differences between manufacturers (e.g. non-standard receivers), it is always worth checking your replica’s specification or consulting installation with a service technician.
Can I use 8 mm bearings and bushings from any brand?
Yes, the shell has sockets for 8 mm – you can use both bearings and bushings from reputable manufacturers, as long as you install them correctly and shim the gears properly.
How strong a spring can I use?
The shell is made from 7075 T6 alloy with high strength, designed for heavily loaded setups. The real limit, however, depends on build quality, chosen parts and correct AOE setting – for extreme tuning we recommend consulting an experienced technician. (We have seen setups running springs as strong as M190 ;) )
Is this gearbox suitable for HPA?
Yes, it is an excellent base for HPA conversions, as long as the chosen HPA engine / insert is compatible with a V2 gearbox. Installation requires experience and often minor fitting – especially in non-standard replicas. However, we recommend our EHPA gearbox - cheaper and dedicated to solenoid engines
Is this a firearm part?
No. This is a component designed exclusively for Airsoft AEG/HPA replicas – it is not compatible with any real firearm or GBBR system.
