some assembly required

This does not fit in VFC Avalon series guns without modification. You are going to have to take a few millimeters off of the edges inside face of the mag catch to make this mag release work in the body. It's a bummer, yes, but that's just the life of building and customizing airsoft stuff. 15 minutes on a file and It now works flawlessly.

Other than that, the construction and material of the mag catch are light and efficient. Nice fat catch now makes all of my mags fit in my Avalon without any fuss or drop outs. The finish on the unit leave a little to be desired, but It really doesn't matter now that I've hit it with a file.

I would recommend if you don't mind a little bit of filing.
