Installation (general guidance)
- Make sure the replica is unloaded and disconnected from its power source.
- Disassemble the replica and remove the V2 gearbox from the receiver.
- Remove old or damaged screws and clean the threads in the shell from dirt and old threadlocker.
- Install the new M3 × 8.2 mm and M3 × 14 mm screws, tightening them evenly and with care.
- Fit the gearbox into the receiver and use the alignment grub screws to centre the shell and eliminate side play.
- After reassembly, perform a dry-fire test and then a live-fire test with BBs in a safe area.
- Tip: on heavily tuned AEG/HPA builds, a small amount of medium-strength threadlocker on M3 screws helps prevent them from backing out during long bursts.
Why choose the Mancraft screw set?
- Correct dimensions – everything matches Mancraft shells out of the box, no trial-and-error with random screws.
- Better reliability – fresh, straight screws reduce the risk of shell stress and cracking caused by uneven clamping.
- Easier servicing – you always have a full set of screws ready for your next gearbox teardown.
- System consistency – original Mancraft hardware throughout your V2 AEG/HPA gearbox.
FAQ
Will this set fit all V2 gearboxes on the market?
The set is designed for Mancraft V2 gearboxes (AEG/HPA). It can fit other V2 shells if the screw lengths and threads match, but you should check dimensions and thread depth before use.
Are the screws stainless steel?
No, they are made from nickel-plated steel, which offers good corrosion resistance and a clean look while maintaining high strength.
Are the alignment grub screws really necessary?
They are very helpful for precise shell alignment in the receiver – they improve fit, improve axiality, reduce vibration and can make the gearbox run quieter.
