Atomic Bomb!!

As a seasoned tech, I have my preferences on a lot of things, and for TCUs my default was Gate Products. Although I can do just about anything, I specialize in very high end custom DMRs, specifically the HK (M110A1, G28, 417) line. They have a cult following and IYKYK. Due to small platform support and an insatiable appetite for the closest to real steel I can get, I was modifying all of my own triggers to have shorter travel, pronounced break and reset, and adding an inline mosfet to handle the power and protect the contacts. Each and every one took hours to modify for just the right feel and operation.
One day I happened upon a post on fb, just a single small thing, that talked about Perun developing a TCU for the G28/417. I reached out and to my surprise got confirmation. I wasn't sure exactly how it would work and it's efficacy, but I thought I'd give it a try. After receiving and inspecting it, I was skeptic about it's durability and robustness, conferred directly with Perun, and got some reassurance.
The installation was quite easy and straightforward, the trigger adjustment was spot on and offered great feel. It took a little bit of testing and trial and err to figure out the programming and correct settings for my specific gun, but once I did... 🤯🤯
This unit is truly AmAzInG and has nearly EVERYTHING you could want contained in such a small, compact package. They're loaded with extra features like holding the trigger for three seconds to disengage precock. For regular use I cycle between 2 G28s and (2) 417s as DMRs and two (2) 417s setup as battle rifles, and one (1) really super high end 3.5j G28, all equipped with this TCU. Any of these that I work on for customers get one. They're simply that great... good enough for me to admit that they beat my hand crafted, fine tuned, highly modified units I was making. At the same time, they changed my mind about what brand TCUs I now prefer.

If you have a G28 or 417 and don't have one of these, you're lacking and missing out on feel.
