These gears are made from quality materials and produced with high dimensional accuracy, which is typical of all Japan-manufactured Prometheus products. Quenching and shot peening are applied for durability. The bevel-to-step gear segments are helical cut, but a helical pinion gear is not required. Furthermore, the number of latch teeth is increased to reduce the reverse load when the gears are stopped. The helical segments require precision shimming for optimal performance.

Some modification to the gearbox shell may be necessary to accommodate the Torque gears. Recommended for TM shells and those similar to them.

The new and improved Prometheus EG Hard Gear reinforced double torque helical gears are designed for MS100-135 spring rates and built off the original Prometheus formula for a superior gearset. The helical slanted teeth provide a much smoother action per cycle and allows for higher torque action.

Rated for use with the following springs:
・MS100
・MS110
・MS120
・MS135

For MS150 springs please refer to the Triple torque EG Hard Gear series.

For MS170-190 springs please refer to the Max torque EG Hard Gear series.
