product details

Retro ARMS is a Czech company that uses its own manufacturing facilities to produce high-grade, precision Gearbox parts.

These Gearbox Shells are fully CNC machined from a block of 7075 T6 Grade Aluminum. The 7075 T6 Aluminum is very strong and can endure a ton of stress.

This shell is 100% aligned and has several features (besides its material) that make it stand out.

-Large grooves for 2.5 mm silicone wires

-An Accurate hole to match the Anti-Reversal Latch so the latch does not fall

-An accurate hole for the trigger -- won't jump even with strong springs.

-Perfectly aligned 8mm bushing holes for optimal gear meshing.

-The guide grooves for the piston are in one piece -- no jamming of the piston on the rear window.

-The groove under the trigger contacts avoids possible short circuits when using MOSFET switches.

-Micro-sized grooves on the pins that hold the trigger and spring shuttle feeder hangers. Avoids popping springs.

Comes with a Retro QSC Spring guide.

Anodized black.

Product is well designed/built, however if you are purchasing this for use in a G36c, be warned that there is some modding you would have to do for compatibility. For reference, this is what I had to do with my JG G36C: -Standard g36 motor cages will not fit without filing some material from the screw mount flanges of the cage. -The g36 selector plate fire selector catch will have to be either deepened or the material behind the catch removed else you can't change firing mode when gearbox is installed -Screw hole for the safety plate (which disables the trigger on safe) is size M2 as opposed to M3 on the JG. -Screw flange on muzzle end of the gearbox gets in the way of the G36 hopup chamber being flush with the gearbox face. Had to file away some material from the top of the hopup chamber so that the top can fit between the nozzle and that flange. -If you plan on using a V3 BTC Chimera with a riot DSG, you will find that the chimera triggerboard will fit perfectly in the gearbox but the cutoff cams of the DSG will actually contact non-sensing areas of the cutoff sensor, possibly damaging it over time. You will have to file parts of the triggerboard such that the unit will sit more towards to muzzle to avoid triggerboard contact. No idea bout AK style compatibility, but I feel as if the gearbox was designed around that particular platform.

This is a great gearbox that has quick change spring system. I couple that with modify 8mm ceramic bearing and it works great in my ICS g33. However, there are a few things that buyers may want to know: 1. The spring guide it comes with does have a whole for screw in the back which will work with G36s' stock screw 2. If you are using a upgraded version 3 cylinder head that has a lip on the top side...you probably need to grind it down to fit into the gearbox. 3. the plate that holds the safety for a g36 require a screw to secure. However, this gearbox has that hole on the right side but it is not threaded.......no biggie tho, the front screw still holds the plate in place 4. there is no whole inside the gearbox which allow the trigger contact to screw in....so your trigger contact will always kinda loose........ 5. the rail for selector plate is too small...I need to file down the top and lower of the selector plate to fit it in ..... yeah...it is super strong gearbox and I modified my ICS g33 to have a quick spring change system ....however, get ready to do some tech work...took me close to 4 hours to put the whole thing together due to execessive filing.....
