RA Full Gearbox BLUE EDITION

Retro Arms has released their complete gearbox, which features high-quality parts manufactured and assembled in Europe. This gearbox is less expensive than buying the parts individually, and comes with complete installation and proper fitting of the internal parts.

This upgraded gearbox is built for strength and durability, utilizing robust CNC aluminum material. It features the latest Retro Arms 2024 shell, which has several enhancements and improved compatibility. An ongoing problem with upgrading regular cast gearbox shells is the increased stress and massive force cracking the front of the gearbox over time. This is not a concern with this shell, due to the strong material and radius design.

This gearbox is equipped with an adjusted speed trigger, ensuring crisp and responsive shooting with the JeffTron Leviathan ETU.

Features a quick-change spring guide for modularity and easy servicing.

The Leviathan ETU fully protects the gearbox from the high power of 11.1v batteries and features Bluetooth functionality, allowing you to program the gearbox to your exact preferences.

Professional installation is still required because the gearbox needs to be fitted to the motor and receiver. This model is rear-wired. Not suitable for a front-wired configuration.

Mostly as advertised, but potentially missing important details.

I'm a fan of retro arms parts, and have used a few items from retro arms in the past. The implication of the listing is that this is built by retro arms, and whoever was putting these together had added too many shims on my unit. That's potentially not worth the point off I gave it. I drop down to 4 stars because it also has had the jefftron "real feel trigger" spring removed. A closer look at the images does make this clear, but no where is it listed that its removed, and it removes the choice from the owner whether or not to use this system. Mine also had issues with the sticker placement for the jefftron. Until I removed and properly placed one of the, thankfully still included, stickers from jefftron on the tappet plate, my gun had no ability to differentiate between the safe and semi position.

So yes, even if you buy this, plan to open the gearbox, you should anyways to get proper motor height and adjustment with the bevel gear. That's not worth a point off, but the incomplete description, incorrect shimming, and incorrect sticker placement for the jefftron all add up to less then a perfect score.
