Like a buffer tube, this Spring Guide Holder keeps the spring guide straight and prevents it from pitching up and down. This allows for easy and more reliable testing of a Retro Gearbox. Can be used with or without a lower receiver.

The installation of a buffer tube can impact the performance of a gun. This is due to the buffer tube screw straightening the gearbox when the lower receiver is also used, thereby altering alignment and potentially affecting the air seal. This spring guide holder replicates the same straightening and aligning effects as a buffer tube.

Works with Retro ARMS spring guides and Gearboxes.

Works well with non-M4 AEGs.

I put this into a JG G3 body as means to straighten the spring guide and it works wonders. Having this is important because it keeps the tension in a spring for a much longer time. While there's nothing for this piece to attach to within a G3, it's useful by simply holding the spring guide steady.

For reference, TM-spec G3s use V2 gearboxes. Think of this part as like a buffer tube screw, but doesn't use a buffer tube to guide the screw into the spring guide. It's a nifty piece for all the other platforms that use a V2 gearbox that aren't M4s.
