This Gear Set has a true ratio of 12.65:1 and a nominal (advertised) ratio of 12:1. This is a high speed Gearset that will grant great trigger response and speed. Paired with the right parts, this Gearset will give you a fearsome rate of fire.

SHS has made some very significant revisions to their previous Gear designs. These new Gears are more reliable and much better machined than the previous generation.

Firstly, the Sector and Step gears are now fully CNC machined. CNC tooling marks make this very apparent. In addition to this, all of the Gears are thoroughly steam treated with black oxide. This gives all of the gears improved wear and corrosion resistance.

All of the shafts on these new gears are totally filled and reinforced. This strengthens the Gears and reduces the chance of the gears separating.

The Bevel Gear is still MIM machined, but it is still enhanced due to the black oxide coating and filled shaft. Also, SHS has reformed their previous bevel design due to the change in Anti-Reversal latch catches.

Also, SHS uses standard 10-tooth bevel gears. This means that replacements are easy to find and any random 10-tooth bevel gear should be compatible with this Gear Set.

These gears spit high quality at your face. Paired with the ZCI Balanced Motor these guys can take the beating. Some modification of my gearbox shell was required to get them to fit but it really is worth the time!

Ordered a set, and am using them in basically a v3 gearbox with about a m100 spring short stroked 2 teeth. Had the Spur gear break a tooth in the first 500 rds, ordered another set and am hoping its a fluke. Only running at about 340fps @ 30rps so it shouldnt be enough stress to kill the gears. Will check back on the new ones...

When the gears arrived, they looked great. You can feel the quality of the gears in the weight. However, the spur gear failed on me. This is not in any way Brill's fault. The spur consists of 2 pieces, the lower and upper gear. They were press fitted nicely but when installed into a gearbox, they would spin independently. I did not buy another set just because of the chance of facing this again. The bevel does seem to be updated from previous generations and I still use the bevel for its 6 ARL teeth.

Great gears. The spur and sector are very strong (can´t comment on the bevel since I have not used one yet). Held up fine on a low speed 25 rps 330fps ssg beside the screws on the sector gear starting to come lose. Luckily found it before it got worst and glued it in. Had another 10k rounds through it and the screw hasnt come lose again.

Using these 12-1 SHS gears with CA Bevel gear, a 150 spring, 28TPA ASG motor, one piece SHS bore up cylinder set, 11.1 lipo. Holding up very well, no problems. 400 + FPS w/ .43 bb. Very happy with this gear set as well as all SHS parts from Brill Armory Thank you Louis!.

I absolutely love SHS 12:1 gears. They're my go-to for lower cost, reliable builds. I usually keep the stock bevel from the gun that I'm working on (depending on brand), and just use the spur and sector from this set. Excellent quality, haven't had a sector or spur break on me. (To be honest I haven't even had a gen4 bevel break, but I usually swap them to be safe). Great stuff. Just make sure you loctite and tighten the screws on all SHS and Super Shooter sector gears.
