Upgrading your motor will boost your rate of fire, improve trigger response, and allow your gearbox to pull stronger springs. These motors are the high-speed type, which will yield more speed and less torque than the neodymium SHS HT motors.

This newest batch of SHS motors looks very promising. The brushes and magnets are shaped to the motor armature out of the box. Because of this, no break-in period is necessary. The armatures are nice and tight; not too much play. The D-type pinion gears look to be of a higher strength material and SHS has epoxied all of them onto the shafts. Because the shaft is D-type, pinion slipping is not a concern with these motors.

The magnets are stronger than most brands, and the retaining ring is made out of metal so it won't strip. These cans are the perfect complement to any armature, so the can is great for building motors of any TPA. Disassembly/reassembly is easy.
