product details

This fully CNC machined pinion gear and has optimal geometry and meshing for Siegetek bevel gears. This pinion is incredibly strong and fits very tight on most motor shafts. The inner bore is undersized, so this pinion gear is compatible with motors that use thinner shafts such as ZCI. The Siegetek Pinion can be installed onto a D-type shaft and will not cause concentricity issues. This Pinion gear is 0.02mm tighter than the standard Siegetek G4 Pinion gear.

The pinion gear should be shimmed no more than .1mm away from a Siegetek bevel gear.

Please exercise caution when installing this with a pinion puller. This pinion will easily break a pinion puller or bend a motor shaft if you aren't careful. The pinion should never require a massive amount of force to be installed. If it does, the pinion is likely incompatible and the original Siegetek Pinion gear (model# G4) is needed instead. Also, the pinion may be heated to ease installation, but do not heat it over 400F. The armature can also be narrowed with sandpaper if absolutely necessary.

This pinion should never be installed free of lubricant. A few drops of lubricating oil into the bore of the pinion gear and the edges of the motor shaft tip will do.
