These Solink gears benefit from a complete helical design across the entire gear train.

Included is a D-type helical pinion gear, grub screw, and allen key for easier installation.

These gears have advantages over traditional spur (straight-cut) gears.

The angled teeth engage more gradually, causing them to run more smoothly and quietly. Because of this, these gears may provide a more desirable gear meshing noise when properly shimmed.

Additionally, due to their design, these gears may yield an increase in load capacity.

Note: these gears can increase axial load on bearings, as opposed to common straight-cut gears which primarily generate radial load. Although high-quality Airsoft bearings can tolerate some axial load and may work just fine, they aren't specifically made for handling significant axial loads.

Depending on the configuration, it may be advisable to change to solid bushings on some or all of the gear axles when using these gears.

Use of a high-quality adhesive like Loctite 638 or JB Weld is recommended for installing the pinion gear.

Quiet Gears

My gun was shimmed well from the factory but still had a chirp with each semi-auto round. These 13:1 helical gear set was the solution. These are full helical, not just the spur and sector gears, but the pinion and bevel gear also. Better trigger response and much quieter operation. They seem high quality as well.

Go so far, but will revise review in the future...

Just like other review the "previous gen" had a QC issues that made shimming and meshing of the gear impossible, but they definitely got it right this time, only had a 4 hour day in with them with constant semi-auto on a brushless motor and they survived and sound amamzing!

Fixed bevel issue, gears are now solid

These originally had either poor qc or the incorrect angle of teeth on the bevel gear where it intersected with the spur leading to horrible grinding. Brill responded promptly to concerns and now with the revised bevel from solink they are very smooth and sound silent when shimmed well. If you’ve ever tried a lonex spiral pinion and bevel, this is the next step up.
