This is a complete 8mm Quick spring change Gearbox for V3 AK's. It comes with a front/top wired harness designed for AK's that are wired underneath the dust cover. These Gearboxes are zinc cast like most other Gearboxes but are made to a higher quality standard. These Gearboxes feature a Quick-disconnect spring guide which allows the user to change springs in seconds and allows for much easier maintenance.

Overview

Great quality gearbox, for a cast shell, very good edges and dimensional consistency. The internals are par for course when compared to SHS/Lonex components, the microswitch trigger unit is not an unappreciated aspect of the unit, could go either way but it doesn't hurt anything if you aren't considering using ETU's. The cast is good enough that on the one I got in, every gear was shimmed with the same thickness of shims, 1.15 mm and had a hair of endplay as a result, very impressive.

Additionally, doing a cost break down, this is almost 30 dollars ahead on buying all of the internal parts separately before taking into account the price of the gearbox. Meaning you can have almost any build imaginable for a very very affordable price and getting QCS on the side.

I got this for Christmas and a sp90 spring to go with it. Everything was normal until I was doing some Maintenace, one of the wires fell off. I went to solder it back on. Fast forward about a week ago when I was shimming it. Both wires came apart from the gearbox. May have been just me but these wires were delicate. I just ordered a new one, hoping for the best.
